Fresh blueberries are pureed through a large screen to provide a generous amount of whole berry pieces. The puree is cooked with the juice of steamed apples to provide the pectin to solidify the blueberry puree into a jam. Sugar is carefully portioned to preserve the fresh blueberry flavor.
